Lewisham League

Last week was cup finals day and we had Y4 playing in their semi-final against Edmund Waller.

This was a thrilling but hard fought game with All Saints’ making much of the play but denied by their solid defence and good goal-keeping. We defended very well against their attacks on the break and it was still nil-nil with 2 minutes to go when they found a gap with a great shot impossible to defend. We fought back hard with several spirited attacks and shots on goal but there was not quite enough time to equalise.

Again, a disappointment for an All Saints’ team in the semi-finals but we must be proud of their achievement in getting so far and with both the quality of football they have played and the spirit of fair play that they have always shown.

Half-Term Holiday

Next week will be the start of half-term and many players will be away. However, for those still around we will organise some kick-about games.

Saturday Cricket after Half-Term

The Cricket Club will start when we return on Saturday, 10th June 2017, with 1 hour sessions from 10:00 to 11:00 on the heath.

It is open to boys and girls of all years and of any ability or previous experience. It was great fun last year and enjoyed by all.

Any parents wishing to help (cricket experience is not essential) please contact me.
