30th September 2017

All Saints’ Primary School Football Club – Saturday 30th September 2017

Friendlies for Y3 and training for all other teams this week.

We will meet on the heath, between the School and the Church at 10am to 11:30.

  • try to arrive 10-15 minutes before so that we can begin on time
  • make sure you bring along a cold drink, preferably water

Friendlies against Blackheath Prep

We plan for Y3 to play against the Prep this week. Kick-off 10:30.

Last week Y5 and a Y4/Y5 team played against the Prep. Very closely fought games for Y5 and good preparation for their league games. The Y4 team was strengthened with a few players from Y5 to make up the numbers and showed great spirit and enthusiasm. We just need some more players from Y4!

New players

As this is the start of a new season we are hoping to attract new players, boys and girls, in all Year Groups, so why not come along to the first few sessions and give the football club a try. Any sports kit and trainers will do to start with and regular players will of course be provided with the club kit.

Girls Team

Last season our Girls team had great success, finishing second in their league and semi-finalists in the cup competition. We would love to maintain this momentum, but we do need more players. Any girls in Y4-6 who are interested in playing for the girls team, whether they currently play in their class team or not, please contact me.

Boots and Pads

Young feet grow quickly, so please donate any old football boots and shin-pads still in good condition to the boot bag which are then freely available to others. The boot bag is pretty full at the moment and will be by the shed in the school playground.

Parents and carers

As with each new season, we will need all parents or carers to complete a new consent form, with contact details and permission for their child to take part in the club’s activities. Forms will be distributed by email and some paper copies provided. Please make sure the completed forms are returned, preferably by email to the relevant team coach as soon as possible.
