Learning Support
At All Saints’ School we strive to promote opportunities for all pupils regardless of ability, gender or race. If a child has a particular need, we will provide a curriculum that is differentiated and allows them to experience every area of learning at an appropriate level. We work hard to enable children to access the curriculum and develop as confident, independent learners who have fruitful relationships with peers and adults alike. We seek to involve parents and pupils in all areas of learning and to invite a range of external professionals to help us in assessing, monitoring and responding to a child's need.
We have a team of people working with children with special needs:
- Our Inclusion Manager is responsible for children with all special educational needs;
- All of our teachers work with her to create individual or group educational programmes (IEP) for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and individual challenge plans (ICP) for Gifted and Talented (G&T) children;
- Some extremely talented learning support staff also specialise in working with children in 1:1 or group situations;
- We also have a Communication Support Worker who signs for children who are Hearing Impaired.
The Inclusion Manager works closely with the Learning Mentor who supports children and families who have emotional needs. These can range from the death of a close family member to poor self-image leading to a lack of confidence.
We wish to create an environment and community that allows your child to flourish; we work hard to achieve this. If you have any questions regarding SEN please speak to Mr Luke Tucker, Inclusion Manager on 020 852 6136.
