Reading

Helping your child choose books can be tricky, in response to questions from parents and carers about which books and authors to choose, we have put together this suggested reading list. It is NOT a compulsory or exhaustive reading list. It is a set of ideas to help get your children into different types of books and authors.

In school we use a mixture of reading books, including books from Bug Club, Oxford Reading Tree and Story World.

Phonics

In Reception and Key Stage 1 phonics is taught every day. We use the government validated reading scheme, Bug Club, supplemented by Oxford Reading Tree and Big Cat.
