Science

We believe that science is fascinating to learn about as it arouses children’s curiosity about the nature of what happens in our everyday life. It helps us ask and answer questions such as ‘Why did something happen?’ or ‘How does something work?’

We created our All Saints’ Principles of Science based on what we believe science should be like at our school.

KS1 Principles of Science

When we do science we get excited and imagine.

We push ourselves and keep trying by:

asking questions,

recording,

exploring.

We do this inside and outside the classroom.

We know science is important for the world of today and the world of tomorrow.

KS2  Principles of Science

We are excited to deepen our scientific knowledge, develop our own ideas and grow to be independent.

We imagine the possibilities, listen to others and get better by making small changes.

We push ourselves and keep trying by:

Asking questions, planning and investigating ideas

Recording what we have done in lots of different ways

Exploring new ideas by doing things.

We use our scientific skills inside and outside the classroom.

We know science is important to help us understand how stuff works in the world of today and the world of tomorrow.
