Year 5 played one league match:

Away               John Ball                     v          All Saints                     Won 1-2

All Saints came out with an enormous amount of energy and applied a lot of pressure. Jude Harrington broke through the outside of their box, taking on a couple of their defenders to score a brilliant opening goal in the first 3 minutes.  All Saints continued their efforts in the same spirit and then John Ball came back at us and scored an equaliser just before the half-time whistle.

Team talk encouragement was to continue to play the same way.  But John Ball made a great start and Jack Bryan Brown kept us in the game with some great saves. Then the game changed and the strength of our midfield and front came into play with creative chances made and numerous shots on goal. Then came a pass from Archie Westlake to Theo Tomlinson who scored a well-deserved goal after a couple of strong attempts.

The scheduled league match against St Joseph’s Vale was cancelled as St Joseph’s Vale have pulled out of the league, so All Saints played a Friendly against Rushey Green.

Friendly           Rushey Green             v          All Saints                     Lost 3-0

Rushey Green are the only team to have beaten All Saints in the League so far this season. In this Friendly we lost 3-0. The team were pleased it didn't count.  With no subs available, everybody worked hard and showed team spirit - well done All Saints.
